I am neither of the two. I am a sleep consultant and I trained extensively on specific topics related to baby and toddler sleep. However, I partner with other specialists such as maternity nurses, night nannies, nutritionists and lactation consultants for any child's need that goes beyond my own expertise.
I work with both breastfeeding and bottle feeding mums with no limitation whatsoever. In case of allergy or more severe health issues that are causing sleep problems I will refer you to the relevant specialists.
Absolutely not! Although crying it out might be an effective method for some parents who are willing to use it, there are many other gentler strategies we can implement to improve your child's sleep.
I suggest waiting until baby is 8 weeks old before working on his sleep. By that age babies should have their cicardian rythm consolidated and would start building their own sleep pattern. I work with babies and toddlers up to 6 years old.
Families living in London can benefit from in-home consultations, however I can easily support parents anywhere around the world via telephone, skype, facetime and whatsapp. I offer consultations in English and Italian.
I am a qualified Holistic Sleep Coach, holding a London Open College Network Level 6 certification.
I am a member of the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants and of the International Pediatric Sleep Association.
I attended the "Infant Mental Health" course at Warwick Medical School.
I completed the training for "Parenting with the Nervous Syestem in mind"
It means that we are trained to assess your child's case holistically, taking into consideration all possible factors that can have an impact on your child's sleep (nutrition, allergies, behavioural or personality traits, anxiety, health issues, special needs, environmental and family context, along with those specifically related to sleep) and we provide the best advice for you.
Any information or advice I give during my consultations, in the sleep plans I prepare for my clients and in my posts on social pages is evidence based. This means it is supported by scientific research and published in academic literature.
